“I am a 52 year old woman who knew nothing about cars or driving and cared even less, but on moving from London to Dorset I knew it was a skill I had to acquire and a fear I had to confront. It was with a huge amount of trepidation that I begun my lessons. At the beginning, my instructor told me he believes in teaching people to drive, not merely to pass the test and this was exactly what I wanted. Each lesson was a challenge, but Tim was endlessly patient, good humoured and resourceful - he thought about me as an individual and not just another pupil and devised methods and techniques he thought would help me. He was always happy to listen to my concerns and anxieties, however irrational, and all of my questions, however daft, were treated with consideration and clear explanations. I experienced a whole range of driving experiences from town and country and fog and rain to hairpin bends and horse riders and the end result was that I PASSED first time!”
